British tennis player Arthur Fery has offered to coach the three children of the Prince and Princess of Wales after a conversation with Catherine at Wimbledon on Sunday. The 24-year-old semi-finalist, who celebrated his birthday on the day, spoke with the Princess of Wales after she arrived at the championships with her husband Prince William and their two eldest children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11.
Fery Extends Invitation to Wales Family
Fery, who reached the Wimbledon semi-finals, said he would be "free" to teach the children the ropes of tennis. Recalling their chat, he stated: "I mean the princess came to my match in the second round, it was great to have her there and we spoke a little about that. It was good to see her here and good to meet her finally. She wished me good luck for the rest of the year and congratulated me for these two weeks."
He added: "I know the whole family are all tennis fans, so I told her if her kids ever wanted to hit, I'm free. It would be good to see them again." The offer extends to Prince Louis, six, who was not present at the event.
Birthday Card and Future Possibilities
Fery also revealed that the princess handed him a birthday card during their meeting. When asked if he thought the family would take up his offer, he responded: "Let's see, I don't know. Let's see if I get the call up." The tennis player's gesture highlights the Wales family's well-known enthusiasm for the sport, with Catherine and William often attending Wimbledon matches.
