Anais Gallagher, the 14-year-old daughter of Oasis star Noel Gallagher and Meg Mathews, has revealed that her lifestyle is surprisingly typical for a teenager, despite her rock 'n' roll upbringing. Signed to Select Models, she enjoys shopping at Topshop, eating vegetarian burgers with friends, and hanging out in Brick Lane without buying anything.
Anais, who has made a name for herself since being photographed by Mario Testino three years ago, now presents on CBBC's Friday Download. She recently left Bedales boarding school in Hampshire and will start a new school in Hampstead next month. During holidays, she says the first thing she does is get into bed with her Boston terrier, Oscar, and her mother catches her talking to him at night.
She admits to hiding shoeboxes full of make-up from her mother to avoid being told off. A One Direction fan, mainly of Harry Styles, she confessed to listening to their hit 'What Makes You Beautiful' hidden on her phone. She also said she 'nearly had an asthma attack' from excitement after seeing the Arctic Monkeys in Finsbury Park.
When asked about the building she would most like to be locked in overnight, she chose toy store Hamleys, though she admitted the bears and dolls might be scary. Anais lives by two simple rules: her mother says 'don't lie', and her father says 'you live your own decisions and others live theirs'. On the rift between her father and uncle Liam Gallagher, she said she gets on with both of them.
