Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais was taken to A&E after struggling to breathe following a police raid on a London cinema. The 26-year-old said the incident triggered a severe panic attack while she was watching the film Verity in Leicester Square.
In a YouTube video on her channel, Anais described how police entered the screening room with torches. She said: "I genuinely had a panic attack, I think. I was really struggling to breathe. Like 40 hours later, I was still struggling to fully breathe. I was sat there having my popcorn in the cinema in Leicester Square and then five or six policemen come into the cinema room with torches."
Panic attack at the cinema
Anais explained that she has anxiety at the cinema regularly because she is "always terrified something's going to happen." She said: "But it stressed me out so much that I had to leave. I had to go. It was too much for me to handle."
She added: "I've always had a fear that some f****r is in the cinema and when they came in to look in the cinema for someone, I was like, see, bad people do go and hide in the cinema."
Hospital visit and family support
Anais phoned her mum, Meg, who came over to help her. As her symptoms persisted, she decided to go to hospital. Doctors ran X-rays on her lungs and checked her heart before concluding she had suffered a severe panic attack.
Her father Noel has also experienced panic attacks in the past, saying they were the reason he quit cocaine. The Oasis star had taken the drug every night for four years before things became too much.
He told Matt Morgan's Funny How? podcast: "I did have to check into hospital once. Imagine having the psychosis and having to have to go to hospital. They don't understand a word you're saying because of your accent and you're like 'I think I am on my way out.' I had a few brutal panic attacks, which is why I quit."
