Amanda Owen has expressed her immense pride in her daughter Raven after she graduated from York St John's University with a first-class honours degree in biomedical science. The 21-year-old achieved a mark of 72.67 percent, a result her mother described as a testament to her 'dedication and determination'.
The Yorkshire shepherdess, 47, shared the news on Instagram with a photograph of the pair smiling together, alongside a screenshot of Raven's qualification. In the caption, she praised her daughter's hard work, noting that Raven could often be found in the library, laboratory, or a catering van. 'The sky's the limit,' she wrote.
Fans were quick to congratulate Raven, with comments hailing her 'amazing result' and acknowledging the difficulty of her degree. One follower wrote: 'Huge congratulations Raven!!! You totally deserve that result with all of your hard work.'
Amanda had previously spoken about Raven's academic ambitions, revealing that her eldest daughter was considering a master's degree and had worked in labs on Covid vaccines. She told the Express: 'That's all down to her. Of course, as her mother, I'll be there when she needs me, but I don't want to take away her independence.'
The milestone comes shortly after Amanda announced her separation from husband Clive Owen. The couple, who starred together on Channel 5's 'Our Yorkshire Farm', said they would continue to co-parent their nine children and work on the farm together. In a statement, Amanda wrote: 'This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family.'
