This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has revealed a new health issue, showing off a wrist support on the show just weeks after a panic attack forced her to leave the studio live on air.
The 51-year-old appeared cheerful on the ITV programme but was wearing a visible wrist support, which she paired with gold jewellery.
How the injury happened
Co-host Dermot O'Leary referenced the previous health scare as he asked: 'Can we go one week without some sort of crisis? No this isn't an MJ [Michael Jackson] style, this is because […] what happened?'
Alison explained she tripped while filming a TikTok with a friend. She said: 'I was doing a little TikTok with my friend and basically there was a rock in the middle of the floor and I didn't see it because I had sunglasses on.'
'It was a decorative rock, I didn't have my glasses on, didn't see the rock.. fell over the rock.'
Dermot said he had seen footage of the fall and testified that she suffered a 'proper plant.' The presenter admitted she really 'went down' but is 'fine' now.
She added: 'I'm a little bit injured, but I've got it all strapped up. But I think it looks sick!'
Return after panic attack
Alison returned to This Morning on Friday, days after the incident, which happened halfway through a segment about pets. Speaking to Dermot, she said: 'All I can say is, in that moment it was one of the scariest things I've ever been through. It was surreal.'
'I felt like I went into the other world, what's that show that I love? Stranger Things, when you go into the upside-down world.'
'I couldn't grasp my breath. It was a panic attack.'
She added: 'I feel guilty that I didn't have a heart condition or anything. It was such a fuss.'
'I've never experienced anything like that. Secondly, it was live on TV, so I thought: 'Oh my gosh, my son might be watching,' so I just ran. I ran off TV. I would never do that normally, but I just couldn't catch my breath.'
