Stephanie Davis has revealed the 'amazing' Coronation Street star she's still in touch with after her ITV soap exit. The 33-year-old actress joined the cobbles in 2023 as Courtney Vance, a character who had an affair with Aadi Alahan, played by Adam Hussain, while married to Darren, played by Ryan Early. Courtney eventually reunited with Darren and left Weatherfield, leaving Aadi heartbroken.
Still in touch with co-star
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, via WhichBingo, Stephanie revealed she remains close to Jimmi Harkishin, who plays Dev Alahan. She said: "I was acting a lot with Dev [Alahan, played by Jimmi Harkishin] in Coronation Street, who is absolutely amazing. Now, me and him together, we started just writing our own scripts."
Stephanie described their on-screen chemistry, saying they bounced off each other so much that she would improvise actions like taking his coffee, and he loved it. She added: "In the end, I thought they're going to end up writing us that we are having the affair [instead of Courtney and Aadi], because we had such good chemistry on screen."
Praise for the Corrie set
She noted that Jimmi still checks in with her and they keep in contact. "He's amazing. We just had so many laughs on set!" Stephanie also praised the Coronation Street workplace, calling it an "absolutely amazing place to work" and describing the cast, crew, and cleaners as "salt of the earth."
Stephanie expressed her honour at getting the part, saying Courtney "brought a bit of spice" to the show. She then took time off for maternity leave after becoming pregnant with her son, but is now "really excited to be coming back" to acting.
