The Spice Girls have finally unveiled their much-awaited announcement 'for the first time ever'. The iconic girl band are releasing a singles collection, according to an Instagram post today (September 10).

The post read: "The Singles Collection. ALL the singles. ALL the B-sides. And a few surprises from the vault… For the first time ever, they’re all together in THE SINGLES COLLECTION."

Fans slam collection as 'biggest letdown'

The collection, however, costing up to £189.99, has been slammed by some fans. Many expecting a new tour have called this the 'Biggest letdown of 2026'.

One comment said: 'I’ll tell you what we want, what we really really want is … a tour!' Another said: 'Guys we want two things- Spice World on streaming platforms and a tour with the full line-up. Please make it happen.' One user wrote: 'The anticlimax of this...merch! I missed a work meeting for this!'

Cryptic teaser and details

Fans were first alerted thanks to a cryptic video and post from yesterday. According to The Mirror, the Instagram post simply read: "10.09.2026 | 2pm BST"

A video then showed the Grand Staircase at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel which was used for the Wannabe music video. On the staircase was a newspaper front page, which read: "The Stage and on television." The video then focuses on a section of the newspaper, which states: "R U A SPICE GIRLS FAN WITH THE ABILITY TO SING & DANCE? R U A SUPERFAN, COLLECTOR OR MUSIC LOVER?"

Release details and background

Set to be available on November 6 the collection features a 14 disc colour vinyl, CD box sets, original artwork, B sides and previously unreleased demos.

The Spice Girls - formed of Mel B ("Scary Spice"), Melanie C ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), and Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice") - were formed in 1994 and became the biggest selling girl group in history.

They are known for huge pop hits such as Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life, Stop and Say You'll Be There. The girl group's last performance as a four-piece was on June 15, 2019, at Wembley Stadium in London during the final show of their Spice World – 2019 Tour. Victoria Beckham chose not to take part in the highly anticipated reunion tour.
