Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez married in an intimate civil ceremony at their £30 million mansion near Lisbon on August 11, with just four witnesses and their children present, exactly one year after announcing their engagement on social media.

The ceremony took place at 1.30pm on Tuesday at the couple's built-from-scratch mansion in the upmarket residential area of Quinta da Marina, Cascais. Registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira travelled from Porto to officiate.
Witnesses included Georgina's sister Ivana, Cristiano's long-time friend Miguel Paixao, and a Spanish couple, Jose Rodriguez Sangil and Monica Goncalez Martinez. Cristiano's mother Dolores Aveiro and his siblings Hugo, Elma, and Katia were not present, though Dolores later posted a heart emoticon on her son's Instagram in response to the wedding announcement.
Pre-nuptial agreement
The couple signed a pre-nup agreement on August 10 at a public notary's office in Lisbon, defining their property regime and keeping their pre-marriage assets separate, despite their decade-long romance.
The marriage certificate, published by Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, listed Cristiano's full name and age of 41, his birthplace, and his parents' names including his late father Jose Dinis. Georgina, 32, was listed by her full name Georgina Luisa Rodriguez Hernandez, born in Buenos Aires. Both will keep their pre-marriage names.
Aftermath
The certificate was recorded as number 1,493 of this year at Porto's Registry Office rather than Cascais. Earlier speculation that the couple would marry at Funchal Cathedral in Madeira proved false. The couple are now back in Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr, ahead of the new season.
