Organisers of Southport Flower Show have confirmed the Red Devils Parachute Display Team will perform an aerial display at 12pm on the opening day of this year's event, Thursday, August 20.
World-famous guests and packed programme
The show, described as the UK's largest independent flower show, will run from Thursday, August 20 until Sunday, August 23 at Victoria Park in Southport. More than 50,000 visitors are expected across the four days.
Special guests including TV chef Phil Vickery, Anton Du Beke, Su Pollard and Rob Rinder will entertain visitors. The programme features guest Q&A sessions, live demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre, and live music performances on the Piazza Stage.
Red Devils to land in Victoria Park
Alan Adams, general manager of Southport Flower Show, said: "We are thrilled to welcome the Red Devils to this year’s Southport Flower Show. Their aerial display will be a fantastic spectacle and an exciting addition to our entertainment programme."
He added: "Scheduling the display at midday means even more visitors will be able to enjoy this incredible experience, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families and aviation enthusiasts alike to witness one of the UK’s premier parachute display teams in action."
Weather permitting, spectators will see the team descend into Victoria Park, landing on a designated area adjacent to the showground. After the display, team members will stay on site for about two hours for visitors to meet them, ask questions, and take photographs.
