Princess Charlotte plays on an out-of-school netball team that competes at a high level across the country, it has been revealed. The young royal, who turned 11 in May, is known to be incredibly sporty like her parents, and has now followed in her mum's footsteps with her love of netball. Princess Catherine previously played in an under-11s netball team at St Andrew's School in 1992.
Parents hope to see William and Kate
Having revealed the latest major update about the young royal, a source told the Mail on Sunday that fellow parents could now be hoping to see Prince William and Catherine as they take their daughter around the country to play for her team. The source said: "All of the parents of the girls on the opposing teams are wondering whether or not they’re going to run into William and Kate."
Charlotte at the Commonwealth Games
The news comes just weeks after Charlotte joined her parents and siblings, Prince George, 13, and eight-year-old Prince Louis, at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The family enjoyed watching Australia take on Jamaica in the netball semi-final, as well as England’s match against New Zealand. Charlotte was seen beaming as she joined her mum for a photo with the Scotland team.

Speaking back in 2023, Catherine revealed that she was helping her daughter with shooting practice. Speaking at the SportsAid event at the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Catherine showed off her netball skills. After the event, England netball player Ama Agbeze, 43, revealed that the future Queen had explained that she had played the game herself and was now showing Charlotte the ropes. At the time, she said: "Kate has played netball before, she knows the sport. She said she had been teaching her daughter how to shoot in netball, but younger people have the net lower, so it’s actually very different – she’s still got it. She was saying men go and have a kick about in football, and that she misses netball because you have to deliberately go to a netball court."
