Penny Lancaster has shared a sweet tribute to Sir Rod Stewart after his heart surgery. On Tuesday, the legendary rocker revealed to fans that he was cancelling all upcoming performances after having an operation on his heart.
His representatives confirmed medics were pleased with his recovery after the 81-year-old singer had a "a routine coronary stent procedure". Now, Sir Rod's wife Penny has taken to social media to share a sweet tribute to her husband.

Alongside his song You're In My Heart, she took to her Instagram Stories, sharing a picture of the couple planting a kiss on each other's lips.
On Tuesday, Rod's spokespeople said in a statement: "Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure.
"Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities. On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.
"Information regarding affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues."
Rod Stewart's Response
Sir Rod, himself, added: "I'm already feeling better and very much on the mend. I want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me."
Despite his health worries, he told fans he was "deeply disappointed" over the decision to cancel shows and apologised for the decision. He added: "I'm deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon. Rod."
Recent Health Issues
In recent weeks, the star has been cancelling shows due to medical issues, but hadn't disclosed his condition. Earlier this week, he pulled out of his concert at the Riverbend Music Centre in Cincinnati, citing a "minor medical procedure".
At the time, a statement said: "Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart’s performance tonight in Cincinnati has been postponed.
"Rescheduling is currently underway, with additional information to follow on Tuesday. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled date. Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati."
And earlier this summer, he was forced to cancel another performance after being diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, which later led to laryngitis, meaning he couldn't sing.
However, he was later spotted in the stands watching Scotland win against Haiti in the World Cup. Speaking after the incident, he said: "No, I got an awful... I really shouldn't have gone to the Haiti game. You know, I had to cancel a show the night before because I just had no voice left. But the truth is, Jim, I wasn't going to let my two sons down."
He added: "I promised them since they were born that we were going to go to a World Cup. And this is the first one that's come about. And it wasn't a good look, I admit, but I'm going to have to just take the stick. So I did it for the boys."
He also paused a gig earlier this summer to use an oxygen tank after nearly fainting on stage. Despite this, Sir Rod returned to the stage to headline Rock in Rio Lisboa.
