The owners of a health club that was destroyed by a fire that started in its sauna room have said they are beginning to assess the full extent of the damage caused.
Ten fire crews attended Langrove Health Club in Parkmill, Swansea, on Friday night after the blaze took hold in its sauna room. It spread to the rest of the complex, and firefighters worked through the night to bring it under control.
The health and fitness studio is popular for its gym, heated pool and sauna. Customers have described themselves as "heartbroken" by the news.
Statement from owners
A statement, signed by owners Chris and Cam, read: "We are all devastated by the fire that occurred at Langrove Health Club."
"The club was open at the time, and above everything else, we are incredibly relieved and thankful that the building was safely evacuated before the fire took hold."
"We have put a huge amount of blood, sweat and tears into building the club and making it what it is today. Seeing what happened last night was heartbreaking for all of us, and there have already been plenty of tears shed, with undoubtedly more to come."

"We would like to say a massive thank you to the emergency services for their incredible response. Their efforts helped to contain the fire and protect the surrounding residential properties, and we cannot thank them enough."
