Oasis are set to make an announcement at 4pm BST today, which many fans expect to be a new 2027 tour, after the band dropped a series of hints including a drone show over Manchester.
On Thursday evening, Noel and Liam Gallagher launched a drone display that showed the Oasis logo, followed by “4PM BST” and the date “14.09.26”. The drones took off from the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, a venue long rumoured for a future show.
Hints point to European and US dates
Over the past week, the band have released teaser videos about other venues they will play. The first teaser, which appeared on September 3, was set in a fish and chip shop, and fans used the numbers on posters to work out coordinates for Celtic Park in Glasgow. Another video on September 6 featured a guitarist next to a Joan Miro poster, leading fans to believe Barcelona will host dates.
Other likely cities teased include Rome, Paris, Munich and Amsterdam. The Amsterdam teaser featured police running, an apparent in-joke from 1994 when the band, except Noel, were deported from the city before a gig. A later teaser appeared to be for Boston, and dates in Las Vegas are also rumoured, suggesting a possible US leg after Europe. In 2025, Oasis toured North and South America after finishing in the UK.
Noel Gallagher hints on Talksport
Noel appeared to confirm the tour when speaking on Talksport at the start of the month. Asked about the possibility, he said: “Well, let's put it this way: there's no football tournament on next year, so we've got to do summer in the summer right?”
As the Mirror has previously revealed, two venues long rumoured amongst the band’s inner circle for next Summer have been the Etihad in Manchester in June and Knebworth later in the Summer. The band previously used drones over Cardiff the night before their first comeback show of the 2025 tour.
Documentary promotes reunion tour
The Gallaghers have been in Venice to promote their documentary, Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger, about their 2025 comeback tour. The film, just over two hours long, has been described by the BBC as “affectionate” but “glosses over the hard stuff”. It does not discuss the dynamic pricing row, where fans were left fuming after official online ticket sellers raised prices based on demand.
Last year, the brothers reunited after a 15-year hiatus for a tour, one of the most anticipated series of concerts of the year. The announcement at 4pm is expected to confirm the 2027 tour dates.
