As prom season wraps up in the North East, many are left wondering what to do with the suits and dresses that will inevitably linger in wardrobes for years. A look back at photos from 15 years ago reveals that the region has always known how to do glamour.

School Highlights

The gallery includes students from Durham Business College/Fyndoune Community College posing outside a limo, and Red House Academy in Sunderland where big dresses dominated the event.

Twins Sherrie and Margy Dack celebrated with Norham Community College at St James Park, while students from St Benet Biscop RC High School in Bedlington showed off glamorous outfits.

James Calvert Spence College in Amble, Northumberland, celebrated in style, and pupils from Belmont Community School in Durham held their prom at Lumley Castle in Chester Le Street.

Joseph Swan School in Gateshead gathered outside a limo for a quick photo, and Marden High School in North Shields had a party atmosphere. Sacred Heart RC High School in Newcastle also had attendees posing for pictures.

A whole class picture from Walbottle Campus and pupils from Heaton Manor School arriving at St James Park are also featured, along with snappy suits from Walbottle Campus.
