Meghan Markle's £75 jumper supports mums and families

Meghan Markle has launched a new limited-edition jumper priced at £75, with all profits going to support mums and families. The Duchess of Sussex partnered with Moms Offering More, a community-based initiative, to create the garment in honour of the International Day of the Girl.

The cream jumper features chocolate-brown embroidery and is made from 50% combed ring-spun cotton and 50% polyester. Profits are split equally: 50% goes to Moms Offering More and 50% to Alliance of Moms, a non-profit organisation founded by one of Meghan's close friends.

Demand and availability

Due to high demand, the initiative warned on its website: "Due to overwhelming demand, please allow up to 4 weeks for your order to arrive." It added: "We appreciate your patience and can't wait for you to receive your sweater!"

Meghan shared a picture of herself wearing the jumper to promote the product. In the photo, she appears barefaced, looking calmly at the camera with her arms resting on her chest and one hand covering part of her mouth.

Meghan's message and collaboration

In her caption, Meghan wrote: "Small acts of care can make a big difference for parents, for caregivers, for moms." She added: "This International Day of the Girl, I'm proud of the way we are showing up, including with our Archewell Philanthropies collaboration with @momsofferingmore supporting families alongside @allianceofmoms and @allianceforchildrensrights."

She continued: "As Moms Offering More says: 'It's the little things.' And all of those 'little things' ladder up to big support. Please click the link in stories to find out more." Her stories included a link to the jumper, with the large size already sold out on Monday morning.

Related partnership with Malala Yousafzai

Last week, Meghan was seen meeting Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai in London. New pictures posted on her personal Instagram show the pair posing inside Claridge's as she announced a new partnership.

A caption read: "'When we support the girls of today, we empower the women of tomorrow. Access to education is the key to unlocking this.' – Meghan, Duchess of Sussex & Malala Yousafzai. This International Day of the Girl, in partnership with Archewell Philanthropies, 100% of net proceeds from As Ever jams and teas will support Malala Fund and its vital work to ensure that every girl has access to free, safe, quality education.
