The 2026 Style Award at Haydock Park's Ladies Day has been won by Lucy Traynor from Rainford, who impressed judges with an outfit assembled from Asos, Topshop, and her own last-minute handiwork.

The Rose of Lancaster Stakes Ladies Day, one of the most anticipated events in the racecourse's calendar, took place today (Saturday, August 8) with a packed schedule of racing and style competitions.
Winner's Reaction and Outfit
After being named winner, Lucy said: "I can't believe it. Everyone looks so beautiful." She found her dress on Asos "a couple of months ago" and had worn it only once before, for her sister-in-law's wedding. She made the headband herself the previous night, with her bag from Asos and shoes from Topshop.
Lucy credited her mother's encouragement for entering, saying: "My mum really encouraged me to enter. She's always my biggest supporter and said I had to enter so I did for her. I know she's going to be so made up." She also cited her father as a style inspiration.
Judging and Finalists
The judging panel, including presenter Gemma Cutting, selected three finalists before choosing the overall winner. Finalists included Rashida and Caroline Douglas, with the ECHO photography team capturing the day's outfits.
