The first official trailer for the new Oasis documentary film Don't Look Back In Anger has been released, featuring Liam Gallagher speaking candidly about his long-awaited reunion with brother Noel. The film charts the band's triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live '25, and is set to hit IMAX cinema screens in the UK from Wednesday, September 9.
Unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage
The documentary, which has a run time of two hours, has been produced by Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight and directed by Dylan Southgate and Will Lovelace, known for the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits. It has been billed as an 'unapologetically uplifting' account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world.
The film will reveal rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interview with Noel and Liam in over 20 years. Alongside the band's sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.
Brothers speak on their fallout
The trailer starts with an empty rehearsal studio and voiceover commentary from press in anticipation of the reunion gigs, as well as some of the insults Liam and Noel slung back and forth in the years leading up to the reunion. It also shows Liam standing before a mic in a practice room, before panning to Noel, who speaks of the past "tension" between the two of them. He then asks: "Will it fall apart again?"
It then cuts to the first show of the reunion at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, as well as clips from shows across the world including the now infamous Gallagher Hill which sprung up during their series of shows at Heaton Park in Manchester last July. In a voiceover Noel talks of it being "one of the biggest moments of our lives", before Liam speaks about "exorcising demons".
Rather poignantly the brothers speak of their fallout and their relationship, with Liam saying "we all said s**t we didn't f****** mean, that's the way it is when you miss people", before a clip showing him giving his brother a kiss on the cheek. Noel adds: "The songs are one thing, but I'd forgotten what he [Liam] means to people. I certainly wasn't prepared for the intense outpouring, a sense of what it meant to people."
And as the trailer comes to a close, there's another shot of Liam, before he adds: "Gotta try and ignite something, you know what I mean. We've got a chance to change the narrative of the band."
