King Charles III and Queen Camilla braved sweltering temperatures as they attended the fourth day of Royal Ascot on June 19, 2026. The royal couple led the carriage procession once again, with the King wearing a suit despite the mercury hitting 28 degrees Celsius.
Royal Couple's Fashion and Companions
Queen Camilla opted for a sky blue long-sleeved dress paired with a matching hat, accessorized with a silver and blue brooch. Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, was also present at the Berkshire racecourse but did not join her uncle in the royal carriage procession.
Camilla's Praise for Royal Ascot
On the previous day, Camilla hailed Royal Ascot as the "Best of British" during an interview with ITV Racing. She noted, "It doesn't matter whether you love horses or don't know much about horses, you come here for a really good day to experience a bit of fun, the best racing in the world, the best horses – the elegant women." She added, "I think, in the world we live in, it's wonderful just to get away and enjoy yourself, and that's what Ascot does. You get the pageantry and the procession – I love it, it's five days of pleasure."
Royal Box Guests
On Wednesday, the King and Queen hosted guests in the royal box, including Hollywood star Stanley Tucci and his wife Felicity Blunt, as well as the Princess of Wales' parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and the Princess Royal with her daughter Zara Tindall. Camilla lamented her luck on the track after two of her horses were beaten earlier in the week, saying, "You can but hope."
Royal Family's Racing Legacy
King Charles and Queen Camilla have taken on the late Queen Elizabeth's role as racing's most high-profile supporters and are expected to attend all five days of the meet. They continue to race the late Queen's stable of horses and enjoyed their first Royal Ascot win in 2023 with their thoroughbred Desert Hero in the King George V Stakes.
