Katie Price's ex-husband Lee Andrews has been mocked by online donors after a fundraising page seeking thousands of pounds to help him return to the UK attracted just £29 so far.
The GoGetFunding page, set up by Lee, asks for financial support to help lift travel bans against him. The page states he is "seeking partial support of £95,000 to raise £250,000 and lift all travel ban cases against him". At the time of writing, the fundraiser had received just £29 from 25 donors, with one person who donated £1 joking that Lee should "spend it wisely".
Fundraiser's plea and claims
The page features a plea reading: "Raising funds for bond to return home immediately." It goes on to claim: "Lee has been falsely accused, detained illegally twice without trial, had assets seized and banks accounts frozen, he paid hundreds of thousands in legal bills and civil cases not relating to him whilst having his name dragged through the media disgracing him with fabricated stories and false allegations he was denied bail and access to the court system with no way to pay himself out."
The appeal adds: "He now needs to Return home to England where can live his life peacefully rebuild and full have access to his funds and clear his name Lee expresses deep Gratitude and is not guilty of any crimes or the smear campaign's portrayed against him. Personal note. I, Lee value any support."
Recent developments and relationship status
Lee was recently released from prison after Katie confirmed their relationship was over, citing what she described as his lies. Despite the split, he appears to have made moves suggesting he could still be hoping for a reconciliation. After unfollowing Katie on Instagram and changing his profile biography, Lee has since followed her again. He previously described himself as "Britain's bad boy" but has now placed a single "K" at the top of his page.
He has also shared a cryptic post on his Instagram Stories showing off his latest workout, with prominent veins visible in his arms. Lee captioned the image: "Long climb but here we go." It is unclear whether the post was intended as a message to Katie, who previously praised his muscular arms.
Katie's comments on the relationship
The pair surprised fans in January when they announced their whirlwind wedding. However, less than a year later, Katie called time on the relationship. The former glamour model has insisted Lee did not scam her financially, but claimed he had misrepresented himself. Speaking on Good Morning Britain last month, Katie said she had never been interested in a partner's wealth.
"I've never been with a man with money. With me, it's never about going with a man with money. I'm self-made, and I have my own money. He hasn't scammed me for money, but I feel he has scammed me, because he fabricated a person that doesn't exist."
