Kate to Attend Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Final

The Princess of Wales will attend the ladies' singles final at Wimbledon on Saturday, Kensington Palace has confirmed. Kate, 44, who serves as patron of the All England Club, will be present on Centre Court for the match between Czech players Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova.

Trophy Presentation and Royal Attendance

Following the final, the princess will present the trophy to the winner, assisted by All England Club chief executive Sally Bolton. Kate will be accompanied by club chairwoman Deborah Jevans and Lawn Tennis Association president Roy Colabawalla. This marks her second visit to the championships this year, having attended during the first week.

Previous Engagements at Wimbledon

During the tournament's opening week, Kate watched Briton Arthur Fery play his second-round match against Otto Virtanen on Court 18, sitting alongside Ms Jevans and former British tennis number one Tim Henman. She also joined British tennis stars Sir Andy Murray and Anne Keothavong for compatriot Katie Swan's match against American Madison Keys. Keothavong noted that Kate discussed the “challenges” of parenthood and admired the players' athleticism.

Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, and sister, Pippa Matthews, were in the royal box on Monday, when the Duchess of Gloucester also attended. Fery, who received support from the Queen during his quarter-final win on Wednesday, was congratulated by Kate via social media. She wrote on X: “A memorable day at @Wimbledon. Congratulations to Arthur Fery on becoming the first British wildcard to reach the Gentlemen’s Singles semi-finals in the Open Era, a fantastic achievement that has inspired so many. Wishing you the very best for the next round.”

Fery's Tournament Journey

On Friday, Fery was eliminated from the championships by men's finalist Alexander Zverev, who will face defending champion Jannik Sinner on Centre Court on Sunday. Kate's continued presence at Wimbledon underscores her role as a prominent royal patron of the sport.
