Jeremy Clarkson has returned to filming the hit show Clarkson's Farm despite previously worrying he 'wouldn't be around' after his cancer diagnosis. The 66-year-old TV star was spotted out and about filming new episodes of the sixth series, with cameras present at the Cereals 2026 farming event held at his Diddly Squat Farm.
Cancer Revelation
In the latest series of his Prime Video show, Clarkson revealed he has an 'aggressive' form of prostate cancer, later confirming he had undergone treatment. The Mirror reports that this was documented in the final two episodes of the fifth series. Although a sixth season was confirmed, Clarkson feared he might not be there for it.
The Cereals event featured 500 exhibitors showcasing the latest agricultural developments. A source told The Sun that Clarkson seemed in great spirits, laughing and joking with other farmers and chatting with the crowd.
Diagnosis Details
During a discussion on the show, Clarkson told farm manager Charlie Ireland and farm hand Kaleb Cooper about the harvest before revealing his diagnosis. 'I've got cancer. I've known since May. I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it's aggressive, but it's really early so the treatment will be, you know,' he said.
Speaking from a hospital bed at the end of the season finale, he revealed complications during treatment. 'We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed. What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't. Take care, everyone.'
Recovery and Outlook
Following surgery, Clarkson told Kaleb that he had '10 per cent' of his prostate removed via ultrasound, explaining that the part where the cancer was located was dead. He also suffered from coronary heart disease, noting: 'So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer. We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good.'
Clarkson had hinted that the new series would be a tough watch. 'Ordinarily we try to keep the show bucolic and charming and cheerful. But the final two episodes which drop in the middle of the night tonight are none of those things really. They're a difficult watch. They're really, really, difficult,' he said.
The new series of Clarkson's Farm is expected to drop in summer 2027.
