Good Morning Britain presenters paid tribute to actress Lucy Davis during Wednesday's live show, following her announcement that she has incurable breast cancer.
Davis, 53, who played Dawn Tinsley in the original UK version of The Office, revealed on Instagram on Tuesday that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer a year-and-a-half ago, which has spread to her bones, including her spine, right hip and ribs.
Davis's Emotional Announcement
In her post, Davis said: "The cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo," adding that she was "at peace" with whatever comes next. She also urged others not to ignore potential symptoms, recalling that the "initial lump I felt wasn't a lump as such, rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny."
She wrote: "I almost didn't bother getting it checked, so I guess I'm saying don't ignore anything. Get everything checked out."

Ranvir Singh discussed the news on air, saying: "The lovely Lucy Davis from The Office... It's a terrible shock. She's got incurable secondary breast cancer, it's spread throughout her body. She's only 53."
Singh highlighted the impact of such public disclosures: "We've seen it with prostate cancer, we've seen it with the King talking about cancer. It always has a knock-on effect." He also praised Davis's attitude, noting she said: "I'll see my dog earlier than I thought I would, my Gracie."
Support from Fans and Fellow Actors
Following her post, Davis received an outpouring of support. Jenna Fischer, who starred in The Office US and had her own breast cancer diagnosis in 2024, wrote: "Beautiful post. Love you lots. And yes to working with cancer! Let's spread that message far and wide! How working is such a comfort!"
A fan commented: "Sending you so much love. Thank you for sharing your story and for reminding us to appreciate the little moments. Your strength and positivity are truly inspiring."
