Recent Notices

Patricia Barrow, of Buxton and formerly of Salford, passed away peacefully on 13th July 2026 at The Argyle Care Home, aged 87. Her funeral service will be held at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Buxton on 12th August at 1pm, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. Donations in her memory can be made to Blythe House Hospice.

Ann and Kenneth Edward Broomhead passed away on 24th July and 2nd August 2026 respectively, aged 89 and 102. Their funeral service will take place on 17th August at Stockport Crematorium, with donations to The Gurkha Welfare Trust and Stroke Association.

John Peter Burke passed away peacefully on 30th July at Fieldhouse Care Home, aged 92. His funeral service will be held at Whitworth Cemetery Chapel on 21st August, followed by burial.

Brenda Cassidy died peacefully in hospital on 4th August, aged 82. Her funeral service is at Rochdale Crematorium on 14th August at 3pm, with donations to Dementia UK.

Joseph Chow passed away on 7th July at Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe, aged 78. His service will be at Woodlands Crematorium on 21st August. Donations to Lindsey Lodge Hospice are welcome.

Andre-Louis Desvaux passed away peacefully at home on 30th June, aged 61. His funeral is at St. Martin's Church, Ashton Upon Mersey on 7th August.

Alison Dore passed away peacefully on 26th June, aged 60. As per her wishes, there was no funeral; she was laid to rest through a private direct cremation.

James Stewart Dunlop passed away peacefully in Stockport on 20th July, aged 88. A celebration of his life will be held at St Mary's Church, Disley on 13th August.

Gayle Elsworth passed away on 5th July in Blackburn Hospital, aged 62. Her funeral will be at Burnley Crematorium on 10th August.

Diana Cartwright Evans passed away peacefully at home on 27th July, aged 87. Her funeral is at Stockport Crematorium on 21st August, with donations to Kidney Research.

Alan Greenwood died peacefully in hospital on 5th July, aged 74. His funeral is at St Michael's Church, Bamford on 7th August.

Scott Grieve passed away on 10th July at Blackburn Hospital, aged 48. His funeral will be at East Lancashire Crematorium on 19th August. Donations to North West Air Ambulance are welcome.

Mavis Marie Haslam passed away peacefully on 26th July, aged 95. Her funeral is at Whitley Bay Crematorium on 14th August.

Shirley Houghton died suddenly at her home in Middleton on 21st July, aged 80. Her service is at Middleton Crematorium on 13th August.

Margaret Kennerk passed away peacefully at home in Sale on 22nd July, aged 58. Her Requiem Mass is at St Joseph's RC Church, Sale on 14th August.

Ernest Mosoph passed away peacefully at home on 24th June, aged 81. His funeral took place on 22nd July at Rochdale Crematorium.

Arthur Simpson passed away in Royal Oldham Hospital on 28th July, aged 86. His funeral is at Rochdale Crematorium on 12th August.

Mary Rosaleen Walsh passed away peacefully on 25th July at Kineton Manor Nursing Home, Warwickshire. Her funeral is at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Kineton on 21st August.
