Remy Schofield, a dad who has spent £264,000 on tattoos and calls himself "the real world's most tattooed man", has revealed what he looked like before his extreme body art journey began.
Sharing a throwback photo on Instagram with his 189,000 followers, Remy joked: "For those asking what I looked like tattoos and piercings, here you go! This is my best effort. It's safe to say the boy on the left had no idea what he was in for." The photo shows Remy around a year old versus what he looks like now.
Fans react to transformation
Followers gushed over the post. One said: "Omg such a sweet smile then and now!" Another gushed: "What an amazing evolution." While a third chimed in: "Oh for goodness sakes, too much cuteness all around." Someone else commented: "Well what a darling little boy!"
Two decades of ink
The former chef began his tattoo journey in the early 2000s and has continued ever since. He first got a facial piercing around eight years before inking his son's name in custom script in 2009. He has spent over 4,500 hours getting inked and believes his pain threshold hasn't changed much, though some areas remain quite painful.
Remy previously told Daily Star: "My body percentage has been roughly the same for 15 years. What's changed is the layers with some parts of me being over 100 layers currently, most of me is between 10-40+ layers."
Cost and future plans
He estimates spending around £264,000 ($500,000 Canadian dollars) on tattoos, though this figure changes day-by-day. Speaking about when he'll stop, he added: "I've always said I would stop when I'm no longer having fun with it." Until then, he plans to continue spending money and hours on colouring nearly every inch of his body.
