Craig Revel Horwood shared an emotional tribute to the late Len Goodman during the most recent episode of Strictly Come Dancing. The judge took a moment to remember his co-star, who was a fellow judge on the BBC show for more than 10 years.
Len, who died at the age of 78 in 2023, will go down in Strictly history as a symbol of everything fans know and love about the programme. From a "ten from Len" or his iconic "seven!", the former professional ballroom dancer was a fan favourite throughout his time on the show.
Emotional Moment on Air
During the recent broadcast, Craig Revel Horwood said one celebrity reminded him of Len. After watching Graeme Hall dance the jive with Lauren Oakley, Craig said: "I felt like I was watching dear Len Goodman darling, with the flat cap."
He added: "It brought back some memories and I was a bit emotional throughout that, but I'm not going to cry." Craig and Len were good friends both on and off-screen throughout their careers.
Graeme, best known for being the brains behind Dog's Behaving Badly on Channel 5, was touched by the comparison to the dancing legend. Graeme and Lauren went on to score 25 in total.
Fans React to Tribute
Fans were also emotional after Craig's heartfelt comment. Writing on X, one viewer described it as a "lovely moment" while another said: "Graeme being compared to Len - no higher accolade in #strictly, surely awesome job from him and Lauren."
A third said: "It’s so funny Craig mentioned about Graeme looking like Len Goodman because I’ve been saying the exact same thing all evening." A fourth said: "I love the fact that Len Goodman's legacy, still lives on." A fifth said: "Craig remembering Len" with a red love heart emoji.
Another wrote on X: "Aw that did feel very Len. Craig is absolutely right, Len would’ve loved Graeme I feel x."
Graeme's Background
Graeme is one of the older contestants on this year's series. He shot to fame on the popular Channel 5 programme Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly. Viewers soon took a liking to the down-to-earth Yorkshireman for his impressive skills as a dog trainer, helping dog owners up and down the country as part of the series.
Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly sees Graeme, also known as The Dogfather, visit a number of households who are in need of some help with managing their dog's poor behaviour. He creates long-lasting fixes to help make the owners' lives that little bit easier.
