Harriet Cowan, who rose to fame on series four of Clarkson's Farm, has announced she is recording the audiobook for her upcoming memoir. In a TikTok video, the 25-year-old is seen in a recording studio with headphones on, taking to the microphone. "Ahhhh life is crazy!" she declared, before elaborating: "Life is crazy, what do you mean, suddenly I'm 25 recording the audio to my very own book."
From farm to studio
Cowan, who was already working as a nurse and influencer before her television debut, stepped in temporarily to replace farmer Kaleb Cooper on the Prime Video series. She quickly became a viewer favourite while working on Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds, mucking in across the fields, cow sheds and stables.
The book, titled Life on the Farm: Resilience, family and the realities of a farming life, is available to pre-order now ahead of its release on September 10. Its synopsis states: "In Life on the Farm, Harriet shares just what the farming way of life is, what values she lives by, and what a typical day for a farmer can look like."
Fan reactions
The synopsis continues: "She delves deep into the challenges and realities Britain's farmers are facing today, and how buying local isn't just a slogan, but a way of life. In her warm, hilarious, witty style, join Harriet as she shares life on the farm."
Fans responded enthusiastically on TikTok. One wrote: "Already getting ready to order the book. Can’t wait, normally I don’t read, but I have a feeling that I will once it’s out." Another said: "I need that book!" A third encouraged: "Go Harriet. You are fantastic. We are re-watching Clarkson's Farm. We know you are just being you. Crack on gal." Festival appearance
Last week, Cowan appeared almost unrecognisable from the farm as she attended Y Not Festival in the Peak District with friends. The event ran from July 30 to August 2 in Pikehall near Matlock and was attended by around 33,000 people. In a video, she wore a white figure-hugging body suit, maroon cowgirl boots and a matching leather jacket.
