Tyler Duckworth, a two-time winner of MTV's The Challenge, has died at the age of 44. He was found unresponsive in his bathroom, according to a statement from his mother.
Mother Confirms Death
In a Facebook post, his mother, Joni, wrote: 'My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week. Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out,' as reported by Deadline.
North Dakota officials confirmed to the US Sun that he died on Tuesday when he was found in his bathroom, with the case classified as an 'unattended death', meaning there were no witnesses in attendance.
Last Public Appearance
The late MTV reality star was last seen publicly on July 31 at The Challenge Mania event in Minneapolis alongside Rachel Robinson, Tina Barta, Mark Long and Brad Fiorenza, who have also found fame on the network.

Career Highlights
The TV personality first grew to fame on MTV's The Real World before appearing on six seasons of The Challenge – a reality game show where teams must complete a variety of tasks – and won it twice. He starred in the following seasons: The Duel, The Gauntlet III, Cutthroat, Rivals, All Stars 2 and All Stars 3, spanning from 2006 to 2022, ultimately winning Cutthroat and Rivals.

Following news of his death, fellow The Challenge alum Paul Calafiore posted a picture of the group together at the event at the end of July. 'Life is crazy. RIP Mighty Duckworth! You were so vibrant 2 weeks ago, it's so wild to imagine your vibrant energy no longer here. Sending prayers and love to your family and friends. The Challenge fam lost a legend,' he wrote.
Robinson shared a message on her story: 'May your memory be a blessing to us all.' Meanwhile, Barta shared a statement on her own social media. 'We shared an experience that very few people will ever understand, and somewhere along the way it became more than a show or an adventure. It became friendship. It became history. It became family,' she said.
Fiorenza posted another photo from the recent meet-up. 'Absolutely heartbroken to hear about Tyler. We shared something special being part of The Challenge family. I'll always be grateful for the memories we shared; especially at this last event just a couple weeks ago. Tyler will be deeply missed by so many. May his amazing soul live on in the lives he's touched. RIP my dear friend,' he shared.
