Life and Career
Born in Maghull, Merseyside, to Dorothy and Eric, Brian's early life was marked by a fearless curiosity. A trait that famously saw him ushered out of Sunday school later made him a formidable presence in the letters pages. After an early stint as an architect's apprentice working on the iconic Liverpool Cathedral, he enlisted in the Merchant Navy, traveling the globe while keeping Merseyside close to his heart, particularly his beloved Liverpool FC, to which he was devoted from age 10.
Family and Legacy
In 1978, Brian married his beloved wife, Pamela, enjoying a 48-year marriage defined by love and his trademark wit. A proud father to Daniel and Nicola, he spent his retirement gardening, playing bowls, and traveling. However, it was his 'two cents' sent via email that made him a local legend. Brian is survived by his wife, two children, and younger brother David.
