The Blackpool Airshow returns to the Lancashire coast today, August 8, for its first day of a two-day event. Thousands of spectators are expected to gather in the seaside town to watch displays and flypasts by some of the world's top flying machines and the country's most talented pilots.
Lineup and Highlights
This year's lineup includes the RAF Typhoon display team and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the iconic Spitfire, Hurricane, and C-47 Dakota. In addition, adrenaline-fueled aerobatic displays and stunts by the Red Devils will take to the skies, alongside the Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers.
Visitors can also explore the Air Show Village, open from 12pm to 7pm each day along the promenade and on the Tower Festival Headland. The village offers a range of traders, merchandise, exhibits, and food and drink stalls.
