The Traitors UK season 6 applications open – how to apply

Applications for the sixth series of The Traitors UK are now open, with filming scheduled for the summer of 2027 at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. The show, which first aired on the BBC in 2022, continues to draw viewers with its mix of deception, strategy and high-pressure missions.

How to apply for The Traitors UK

Prospective contestants can submit their applications through the Studio Lambert website. The application window remains open until May 31, 2027. The casting call seeks "fun, smart and strategic players" for what it describes as "the ultimate game of trust and treachery."

The official statement adds: "The Traitors is a competition series built on strategy, suspicion and deception, filmed in the Scottish Highlands. A team of players will compete in a series of missions, the more missions they complete successfully, the bigger the prize pot." It further explains that Traitors meet in secret to eliminate Faithful players, with the aim of staying undetected, while Faithfuls work to banish all Traitors before the game ends.

Season 5 and prize money details

Season 5 has already been filmed during the summer of 2026, with Claudia Winkleman returning as host. While no start date has been confirmed, series 4 premiered on New Year's Day, suggesting the new season may air in January 2027.

The maximum prize on The Traitors UK is £120,000, though the final amount depends on mission performance. The jackpot is either taken home by the last player standing or split among remaining Faithfuls or Traitors. Past winners include Hannah Byczkowski, Meryl Williams and Aaron Evans, who split £101,050 in series 1; Harry Clarke, who won £95,150 in series 2; Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown, who split £94,600 in series 3; and Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby, who split £95,750 in series 4.
