In San Diego, US, the navy Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln arrived home after an extended deployment in the Middle East. A sailor kissed his wife after the ship's return, and Alexander Adkins kissed his wife, McKenzie Adkins, as she held Declan, their 10-week-old baby.
