Stacey Dooley reveals Strictly tour wardrobe malfunction embarrassment
Stacey Dooley: Strictly tour skirt fell down in front of O2 crowd

Stacey Dooley has described the moment her skirt fell down in front of thousands of people during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour as her "most embarrassing moment". The former winner, 39, lifted the Glitterball Trophy with professional partner Kevin Clifton in 2018 before joining the nationwide tour the following year.

Skirt fell down at the O2

Speaking to The Guardian's Saturday Magazine, Dooley recalled the mishap: "When I was doing the Strictly Live tour at the 02, my skirt fell down. So I am stood in the middle of the 02 in my knickers and they weren't even my knickers, they were big borrowed stage briefs."

The presenter also suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her Paso Doble routine in the final, accidentally revealing her beige pants as she whipped her skirt around as part of the routine. At the time, she laughed off the blunder on X, writing: "I've won Strictly and flashed my knickers. A Perfect Sat night."

Life with Kevin Clifton

Dooley and Clifton got together in 2019 and have remained together ever since. Four years later, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Minnie. In the same interview, Dooley revealed that her first kiss with Kevin was the best of her life.

She has also recently opened up about their home life, admitting that Kevin has little say when it comes to making decisions. Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show, she said: "I don't want Kev to offer any opinions whatsoever, which is really healthy isn't it?" The podcast host replied: "Listen, you're running a dictatorship," to which Dooley agreed, adding that she had "all the power".

House and marriage plans

Discussing their property, she revealed: "I live in Liverpool and I've basically got this beautiful old house and I really feel the business in it. You know when you go to view a house and you're like, 'There's not a world where I'd be able to afford this', but then you can, but only because I'm up North."

Dooley has also previously explained why she has no plans to walk down the aisle with Kevin anytime soon. She told The Sun: "Marriage has never been massively important to me. Also, it's well documented that Kev's done it a couple of times before. So, you do have to bear that in mind, coming down the aisle like, 'Hello everyone, I know what you're all thinking.' It's just never been something I've dreamt about."

Clifton was previously married to Clare Craze from 2007 to 2013 before marrying fellow Strictly star Karen Hauer. It is also believed that he married Latin world champion Anna Melnikova in 2003, when he was 20 years old.
