Plot and Characters
The series follows two police partners: Davis Lindo, a former sergeant in the Royal Military Police who hopes to become a Scotland Yard detective but instead trains as a detective constable in Aberdeen, and his partner DS Lara Bartlett. Together, they investigate the murder of a major oil tycoon, uncovering a corporate power struggle and a case much bigger than themselves.
Leading roles are played by Romario Simpson as Davis Lindo and Hannah Donaldson as DS Lara Bartlett, alongside Dawn Steele as DCI Cora MacMillan and Bhav Joshi as DI Jaiyush Mallick. New characters appear throughout the series as the storyline develops over seasons.

However, the show has received some criticism. One viewer questioned its realism: "There is a lack of reality in this show. I know tension is required for TV series, but there is enough tension in the story line without the constant threat of being sacked if one of the detectives speaks their mind. No police station would operate like this." Another critic on IMDb said: "If, like me, you are a fan of detective/police series, it's watchable but far from great. A couple of the actors make it a hard watch at some points, but I think there is potential if the BBC ups the budget and looks at the cast for any further series."
