BBC Drama The Tenant of Wildfell Hall Hailed as Must-See

Viewers are hailing a BBC period drama based on a lesser-known classic novel, calling it better than adaptations of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. The three-part miniseries, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, originally aired on the BBC in November 1996 and is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Overlooked Gem

Based on Anne Brontë's 1848 novel of the same title, the drama was directed by Mike Barker. It stars Tara Fitzgerald as Helen Graham, Rupert Graves as Arthur Huntington, and Toby Stephens as Gilbert Markham. The supporting cast includes Sarah Badel, Jackson Leach, Sean Gallagher, Jonathan Cake, Joe Absolom, and Kenneth Cranham.
