Coronation Street villain Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) is set to take her spiteful revenge out on a child again, this time targeting Harry Platt (Joshua Leavy) by tampering with his height chart.
Jodie, who previously assaulted Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and hid a gun in the same house as her teenage niece Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft Gardner), has been playing the doting aunt to Lily while harbouring a secret desire for revenge against her half-sister Shona (Julia Goulding).
Jodie's history with children
Jodie's back story includes working as a nanny, despite her criminal record. She has already stolen an iPad from a child by pretending to be a police officer to re-gift it to Lily, and was less-than-courteous to Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin) after the traumatised teen had a fight with Lily.
This week, Jodie sets her sights on Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who has recently been released from jail after being dumped by Sarah Platt. Despite warnings from Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), Kit initially lets Jodie get close to him, but he heeds those warnings in next week's episodes.
The spiteful act
After Kit leaves a voice message saying he doesn't want to see her again, Jodie masks her anger and heads out. She lets herself into Sarah's flat for a snoop, but is interrupted by the arrival of Kit and Bethany, forcing her to duck out of sight.
Spotting Harry Platt's height chart on the wall, Jodie spitefully rubs some centimetres off it, making him appear shorter. This comes after Harry has already been through a difficult time with his mum being imprisoned for murder.
After tampering with the height chart, Jodie overhears a snippet of conversation between Kit and Bethany that leaves her absolutely floored.
