Thousands of Scotland supporters descended on downtown Boston ahead of the Group C match against Morocco, creating a vibrant party atmosphere with USA fans.
Pre-Match Festivities
Fans gathered in the city centre for pre-match beers before the second Group C match kicked off at 6pm local time. Many USA fans, who had hoped to watch their game against Australia in the city's fan zone, joined the Scottish supporters in nearby Union Street pubs.
Scotland fans sang Don McLean's 'American Pie' as the USA took an early 1-0 lead. The two sets of fans soon united in singing 'No Scotland, No Party' as bagpipes echoed down the street.
Fan Zone Preparations
Due to windy conditions, organisers were still preparing the fan zone. However, it was expected to open in time for the 5,000 ticketless supporters to arrive and watch the match against Morocco.
One Scotland fan brought the traffic cone tradition to Boston, wearing a cone as a hat. Saltires and Lion Rampants were a must among supporters, who sampled local beverages and were in good spirits.
USA fans joined the Tartan Army in Boston as both teams played on the same day. The mantra 'No Scotland, No Party' was echoed throughout the streets.
