West Lothian College Names Hazel Brady as New Principal

West Lothian College has officially appointed Hazel Brady as its new Principal. Brady, who previously served as Vice Principal of Learning and Attainment, took on the role of Interim Principal in December 2025 and has now been confirmed as the permanent head of the institution.

Career Journey at the College

Brady's association with West Lothian College began in 2006 when she joined as a business lecturer. Over the years, she has held multiple positions, including Faculty Director for Business, Creative and Enterprise. In June 2024, she was promoted to Vice Principal of Learning and Attainment. Before her tenure at the college, Brady worked at Scottish Television and BBC Scotland, bringing a wealth of media and educational experience to her new role.

Vision for the Future

Expressing her enthusiasm, Brady stated: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed Principal of West Lothian College. It gives me great pride to lead such a dynamic, inclusive, and ambitious organisation into its next chapter. Having spent much of my career here, I am proud of the strong culture we have built, one that places students at the centre, values every voice, and is grounded in respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
