Educating Yorkshire has returned to Channel 4 with a new series, revisiting Thornhill Community Academy 12 years after the original. The documentary series, praised for its honest portrayal of teenagers and school life, has introduced a fresh set of students. But fans are curious about the fate of the original cast, including fan favourites like Mushy and Tom Foster.
Tom Foster, known for his humour and disruptive behaviour, later revealed he was happy with his portrayal. He told Yorkshire Live in 2020: 'I'm 100% happy with how the show portrayed me. That's exactly who I am – loud, outgoing and always trying to make people laugh.' He has worked in warehouses and various other jobs since leaving school.

Musharaf 'Mushy' Asghar, who overcame a stammer with teacher Mr Matthew Burton's help, graduated from university in 2021. He posted on Instagram: 'From sitting in the classroom and contemplating if life would ever accept me for having a stammer, to going to university and graduating. I can't sum up in words how proud I am and how much my teachers changed my life.' He also became a YouTuber with a growing channel.
