Rape Accused Upset by Woman's Messages with Barron Trump, Court Hears
Rape Accused Upset by Barron Trump Messages

A man accused of rape and assault has told a court he was upset by the alleged victim's messages with Barron Trump, the youngest son of former US President Donald Trump, but denied being controlling. Matvei Rumiantsev, a 22-year-old Russian citizen, is on trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, where he faces six charges including assault, intentional strangulation, and two counts of rape, all of which he denies.

Court Hears Details of Alleged Incident

During testimony, Rumiantsev recounted an incident where he answered a video call from Barron Trump on the alleged victim's phone. He pointed the camera at her during an argument, according to court proceedings. The alleged victim reportedly told police officers that the dispute stemmed from "jealousy, controlling of like who I can be friends with," specifically referring to her friendship with Barron Trump.

Further Allegations of Damage and Police Involvement

Rumiantsev also admitted to damaging the alleged victim's appliances during a separate argument in November 2024. Following this incident, he called the police out of concern for her well-being. The trial continues as the court examines the evidence and testimonies related to these serious charges.
