Iryna Zarutska, 36, now faces two charges of first-degree murder following the gruesome discovery in the Starlake Point Drive residence on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as her young son, Yegor Zaretskiy, and her 48-year-old boyfriend, Viktor Lee.
Law enforcement officials were called to the upscale suburban home after reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they made a chilling discovery: both victims had suffered fatal stab wounds. The young boy was pronounced dead at the scene, while Lee succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
