A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson after damaged mopeds were discovered in a Pembrokeshire town.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called to Springfield Close in Neyland on Sunday night after receiving reports that three people were trying to steal a car. By the time officers arrived at the scene, the three individuals had left.
Incidents treated as linked
Hours later, at around 1am on Monday, three damaged mopeds were found a short distance away near Neyland Vale. All three had been set alight.
Police are treating both incidents as linked and say the three individuals spotted in Springfield Close were all dressed in black clothing, including balaclavas and gloves.
Investigation continues
One boy has been arrested and police are now appealing for any information as their investigation continues.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses and information regarding recent incidents which took place in Neyland.
"A 13-year-old boy from the Milford Haven area has been arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and arson in connection with these incidents.
"He has been released on bail.
"Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information relating to these incidents or anyone who has any CCTV footage in the area to please review it for anything significant.
