An 11-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a puncture wound to his back after a stabbing incident in Blackburn, Lancashire. Police arrested another 11-year-old boy on suspicion of assault, who has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Lancashire Police received reports of a stabbing in the Fishmoor Drive area shortly before 7pm on Monday, June 22. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene. The victim was transported to hospital with a single puncture wound to his back. Police later confirmed the injury was not as serious as initially feared and was not life-threatening.
Suspect Arrested and Bailed
A second 11-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further investigations. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. A force spokesperson stated: 'We were called at shortly before 7pm yesterday following a report of a stabbing in the Fishmoor Drive area of Blackburn. Officers attended and the victim, a boy aged 11, was taken to hospital suffering from a single puncture wound to the back. Thankfully, his injury is not as serious as first thought and is not life threatening. A second 11-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further enquiries. Separate Incident: Body Found in Search for Missing 14-Year-Old Girl
In an unrelated incident, a murder investigation has been launched after a body was found in the search for a missing 14-year-old girl in south Wales. Formal identification has not yet taken place, but police have informed the family of Lilly, aged 14, who had been reported missing to Gwent Police. The body was discovered in the Duffryn Park area of Blaina at around 10.10pm on Monday. Lilly was last seen in High Street, Blaina at around 6.50pm on Saturday, June 20, wearing a long black dress and black sandals. Detective Chief Inspector Steven Thomas said: 'We understand that this will cause distress and concern amongst our communities. We have a large police presence in the area at this time as enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death. Our officers are here and available for you to speak to. We encourage anyone with information to please speak with us or you can contact us on the usual channels.' Police and forensic teams remain at the scene.
