Strictly Come Dancing viewers were excited to spot two EastEnders icons in the audience during Saturday's live show, as they came to support co-star Lacey Turner.
The live show on Saturday, November 7, marked the midway point of the 2026 series, with only 10 couples remaining in the competition for the Glitterball trophy. Last week, Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb and his professional partner Jowita Przystał were eliminated following the show's first-ever bottom three dance-off.
Soap Legends in the Audience
Shortly after the live show launched on Saturday, November 11, audiences were left starstruck as EastEnders icon James Bye, who portrayed Martin Fowler, was seen sitting next to Robert Kazinsky, who plays Sean Slater on the BBC soap. The duo were there to support EastEnders star Lacey, who has played Stacey Slater since 2004.
Fans quickly took to social media to share their excitement. One person posted on X: "Rob Kazinsky and James Bye in the audience for Lacey (love heart) #Strictly #EastEnders". Another wrote: "Sean Slater woof", while a third posted: "Both James and Robert being in the audience to support Lacey #Eastenders #Strictly". A fourth added: "JIMMY SPOTTED IN THE AUDIENCE #strictly."
EastEnders Connections
James Bye joined EastEnders in 2014 as Martin Fowler, taking over the role from James Alexandrou, and married Stacey Slater in the show. His character was killed off during the programme's 40th-anniversary live episode, which aired on 20 February 2025.
Robert Kazinsky made his debut as Sean Slater, Stacey's elder brother, in 2006. The character left in 2009 and made several brief appearances before returning to Walford permanently last month.
Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola topped the leaderboard during the Halloween special, scoring 36 points for their Charleston to Cheryl and Tinie Tempah's 'Crazy Stupid Love'. Actress Jaime Winstone, who has faced several dance-offs, will automatically progress to the next stage following a rehearsal injury.
