13-Year-Old Arrested After E-Bike Crash with Pregnant Woman in Poole

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested following a hit-and-run collision involving an e-bike and a pregnant woman in Poole. The incident occurred on Herbert Avenue, near the junction with Manor Avenue, at approximately 3:50 pm on 26 January 2026.

The woman, in her thirties, was taken to hospital for treatment. Her baby has since been born but remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Dorset Police arrested the teenager on suspicion of a driving offence. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Sergeant Dan Yates of the roads policing team said: “Our investigation is continuing and we have now made an arrest as part of our inquiries. I would like to thank the public who came forward and provided information to help with our investigation.”
