An 87-year-old woman who died in a car crash near Linlithgow has been named by police as Isabella Cordner, also known as Isa. The incident occurred on the A706 near Carriber Mill at around 6.55pm on Friday, December 5.
Ms Cordner was a passenger in a silver Volkswagen T-Roc involved in a collision with a red Honda Civic. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were seriously injured: the 64-year-old male driver and a 63-year-old female passenger from the Volkswagen, and the 21-year-old male driver of the Honda. All were taken to hospital.
The road was closed for eight hours to allow investigations and reopened at around 2am on Saturday, December 6. Police are appealing for information, particularly from the driver of a Range Rover that was in the area at the time but not involved in the crash.
Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: 'Our thoughts remain with Isa's family and friends at this extremely difficult time. Our investigation into the crash is ongoing and I'd again appeal to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who has not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.'
Police Scotland confirmed that Ms Cordner's family has requested privacy. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2701 of December 5.
