Magaluf Wolf Pack's Vile Insults During Gang Rape of British Teenager
A horrific gang rape of an 18-year-old British teenager in Magaluf has resulted in prison sentences totalling over 73 years for eight attackers. The vile "wolf pack" yelled sickening insults, including an eight-word phrase, during the 30-minute assault, which was recorded and shared on Snapchat.
Disturbing Details of the Attack
The attack occurred on August 14, 2023, at the BH Mallorca Resort in Magaluf. The victim, who had been drinking heavily, was surrounded in a hotel room by seven French men and one Swiss national, aged between 18 and 26. Court documents reveal the men laughed loudly and screamed threats, with one yelling: "There’s four of us and there’s a cow." The teenager fell unconscious during the ordeal, which involved multiple acts of penetration and physical abuse.
Plea Deal and Sentencing
Earlier this week, the attackers accepted a plea deal just before their trial was set to begin. They had faced potential sentences exceeding 150 years if convicted on all charges. Instead, five men received prison terms of 9 to 11 years for rape, while one was sentenced to 4 years for sexual assault without penetration. All eight admitted to filming the assault, with two posting footage on Snapchat, earning each an additional 2 years and 3 months.
Key Evidence and Prosecution
The mobile phone videos proved crucial in the arrests and prosecution. One suspect filmed 14 videos lasting 170 seconds, while another recorded 5 videos of 142 seconds. The footage showed the victim in a semi-conscious or unconscious state, with attackers boasting and humiliating her. The indictment detailed how six men went to a hotel room where they met two others already with the teenager, leading to the coordinated assault.
Aftermath and Legal Proceedings
After the attack, one man allegedly offered "free sex" with the victim to strangers in the hotel corridor. The charges included five counts of rape with multiple perpetrators, sexual assault, and privacy violations. Three attackers remain on bail, while five are in prison pending a hearing next month where defence lawyers may seek deportation from Spain after serving part of their sentences. Prosecutors are expected to argue for full sentence completion.
