Masseur at Luxury Spa Sexually Assaulted Five Clients

A Berkshire masseur has avoided an immediate prison sentence after admitting to sexually assaulting five women at a luxury spa. Ibrahim Ali, 36, from Datchet, pleaded guilty in September to five counts of sexual assault by touching while working at the renowned Nirvana Spa in Wokingham.

Abuse of Trust at Nirvana Spa

The offences took place between November and December of last year. The court heard that the women had booked appointments for back and foot massages, placing them in a vulnerable position where they expected professional treatment.

Instead, Ali exploited his role to assault them. On Monday, November 17, 2025, the case concluded at Reading Magistrates' Court where the judge stated Ali had “abused his position of trust” and labelled him a “danger to women when alone with them.”

Sentence and Spa's Response

Ali was sentenced to two years in prison for each charge, to be served concurrently. However, the sentence was suspended for two years.

In addition to the suspended sentence, the court imposed several other penalties:

  • 150 hours of unpaid community service.
  • £500 in compensation to be paid to each of the five victims named in the charges.
  • A further £500 to be paid to two other women.
  • A 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also put in place.

Following the sentencing, Nirvana Spa issued a statement expressing “heartfelt empathy to anyone affected by this matter.” The company confirmed it took “swift and decisive action” by dismissing Ali promptly after the first victim came forward and fully cooperating with the police investigation. They reiterated that the safety and well-being of their guests is their “highest priority.”
