Vickrum Digwa, his brother Gurpreet Digwa, and his father Moga Singh have pleaded not guilty to multiple weapons offences during a hearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court on July 9, 2026. Details of the Charges
Digwa pleaded not guilty to seven counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place at the family home in St Denys Road, Southampton. The alleged weapons include three machetes, 37 swords, three ninja swords, two flick-knives or gravity knives, eight knuckledusters, an extendable baton, and a manriki-gusari. His father Moga Singh, 52, and brother Gurpreet Digwa, 27, both of Southampton, also pleaded not guilty to the same charges. Gurpreet faces four additional charges: possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, specifically an extendable baton, a kirpan, and an axe in a car in Belmont Road, plus possessing an air weapon in Belmont Road. He denied all charges.
Legal Proceedings and Timeline
The court heard that all three defendants face an additional amended count of possessing three push daggers in a private place. However, District Judge Henry Gordon did not put the charge to them for pleas, as he requested clarification on the amendment details and whether the offence was charged within the six-month time limit. All offences are dated December 4, 2025, the day after the incident in which Henry Nowak was killed. Judge Gordon set a trial date for September 27, 2027, with a case management hearing scheduled for June 4, 2027.
