Police have launched an investigation after a woman reported being punched and raped in Wellington town centre. The incident occurred in the early hours of 22 May, with the suspect fleeing the scene in a car. A man in his 20s has since been arrested approximately 150 miles away in Sussex on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody.
