A fugitive wanted for the fatal shooting of a Virginia sheriff's deputy has been spotted on a wildlife camera in a forest in North Carolina, authorities said.

Michael Timothy Puckett is accused of killing Carroll County Deputy Logan Utt and injuring another officer on Friday night. The deputies were responding to a welfare check at a home on Fancy Gap Highway when the shooting occurred.
Puckett fled the scene and was later captured on a wildlife camera in Surry County, North Carolina, on Sunday morning, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Manhunt Underway
A large-scale manhunt is currently underway, with multiple law enforcement agencies involved, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the FBI. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward, while the FBI has added $50,000 for information leading to Puckett's arrest, totalling $60,000.
Authorities have warned that Puckett is considered armed and extremely dangerous. They urge the public not to approach him but to report any sightings immediately to local law enforcement.
